Accuracy Above All
Energy decisions are only as good as the data behind them. We obsess over sensor fidelity, calibration and validation because a single percentage point of accuracy moves megawatts at portfolio scale.
About Us
Skyline Sundial Play is a clean-tech software enterprise on a single mission: accelerating the transition to clean energy by making every solar asset measurably more productive.
Our Vision
The world is installing solar faster than it can learn to operate it. Panels are commissioned, then underperform silently — soiled, shaded, degraded, unmeasured. We founded Skyline Sundial Play to end that silence: modern monitoring software that gives every array a voice, every operator sight, and every grid the intelligence to absorb more clean energy.
Today our platforms observe more than a gigawatt of solar assets, from commercial rooftops in Manchester to utility-scale farms across three continents — and every site we monitor displaces carbon that would otherwise come from fossil generation.
We hold ourselves to the standard we ask of our customers: measure everything, optimise relentlessly, report honestly. Our cloud estate runs on renewable-backed energy, our offices are monitored by our own platform, and our carbon reporting is built on metered data — the same automated offset tracking our customers use. Sustainability is not a page on our website; it is the product.
Operational Values
Three principles guide every roadmap decision, every deployment and every alert our platform sends.
Energy decisions are only as good as the data behind them. We obsess over sensor fidelity, calibration and validation because a single percentage point of accuracy moves megawatts at portfolio scale.
Our own infrastructure runs on renewable-backed energy, and every product decision is weighed against its impact on the transition. We measure our success in carbon displaced, not just revenue.
Open APIs, documented protocols and honest roadmaps. We build with inverter manufacturers, installers and utilities — never around them — because the energy transition is a team sport.
Engineering Team
Our engineers come from utility-scale solar operations, grid-scale storage, forecasting research and security-critical distributed systems. They have commissioned arrays, debugged inverters at 5 a.m., and shipped software that millions of devices depend on.
Grid integration, storage orchestration & power electronics veterans from utility-scale solar operators.
Forecasting researchers and ML engineers who built the yield-prediction and degradation-detection models.
Distributed-systems and zero-trust security engineers who keep 2.4M telemetry points per minute fast and safe.
Former site O&M leads and product designers ensuring every dashboard works in the field, not just the boardroom.
40+ engineers and energy scientists across Manchester and remote teams worldwide.
Whether you operate one array or a gigawatt portfolio, we would love to show you what your solar assets are really capable of.
